++ Dakota Aesquivel ++ I’m the first child to a businessman and a doctor, practically raised by comic books and “Twilight Zone”. My parents forced me to learn the organ by the local church organist, Mr. Barwah. Rebelling, I took money from a candy bar contest and bought myself my first guitar, a Fender Lead II. “I want to be a musician,” I said. “You’ll starve,” they said, “Go to college instead.” So I did. I went to USC for business, then finished a Masters at UCLA in screenwriting. I furiously produced a slew of screenplays for Stan Lee's production company, Millenium Films. I wrote and directed my play called "Longshots" in 2008, then wrote a film called "Red" in 2009. I'm in pre-production right now for a film tentatively titled "The Bigger They Are", a piece I will write and direct. Sleep is for wusses.
